Psalms 102 - All Will Pass Away

23 He has weakened my strength along the way.
He has reduced {the number of} my days.

24 I said, “My God, don't take me now in the middle of my life.
Your years {continue on} throughout every generation.

25 Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth.
Even the heavens are the works of your hands.

26 They will come to an end, but you will still go on.
They will all wear out like clothing.
You will change them like clothes,
and they will be thrown away.

27 But you remain the same, and your life will never end.
Psalms 102:23-27 (GW)

Reflection of B:

We will all pass away one day, but God will not. He remains forever, just as the above psalmist pointed out (v26, 27). Even the universe and the heavens will pass away, but God will not. God will make a new heaven and earth:

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. (Revelation 21:1 )

Dear Lord,
Once again I am reminded of how soon I will pass away, including this universe. You will make all things new. Therefore, I pray that I will always remember to do what is of eternal value and not what is temporal. Teach me to please You in the way I live in this temporal earth for now.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
