Psalms 98 - Judge the Earth

7 Let the sea, everything in it,
the world, and those who live in it roar like thunder.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands
and the mountains sing joyfully
9 in the Lord's presence
because he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice
and its people with fairness.
Psalms 98:7-9 (GW)

Reflection of B:

Why does the creation of God rejoice when God is coming to judge the world? Surely they will rejoice just like Christians do, as the earth has been violated by people who don't care. The whole earth is going into destruction. When Christ comes, "He will judge the whole world with justice and its people with fairness." Isn't that something to rejoice?

Dear Lord,
I always long for Your coming again for those who called upon Your name. Sometimes I feel that I can't wait anymore. Yet You have sustained me day after day, month after month, and year after year. I wish to see You soon to bring justice as You have promised.
Teach me Lord, to know how to speak the right words that will not offend anyone. Thank You Lord, that I don't have to watch my words when I speak to You. Thank You that I can come to You just as I am, and not pretending to be someone else.
Praise You in Your gracious name. Amen.
