Come To The Well

I attended our Ladies Fellowship today. One particular phrase that stood out was the word, "come to the well", mentioned by the speaker.

"Well" is associated with water, life and the Holy Spirit. The speaker said that we, ladies, need to come to the well of Jesus Christ to drink of His water, which could quench our thirst forever.

Yes, I must admit that ever since I stopped doing devotion together with my best friend, Tommy, and did it alone, I have gradually become inconsistent in my bible reading. In fact, I have stopped reading altogether for the last 2 to 3 months, blaming my work for it.

Today's message is God's reminder for me to start doing my devotion with my Good Lord again, regardless if I am doing it alone. Though it's good to have a partner to run this race with us, but with or without one the race has to be run till we see God face to face.

So now, I must run the race again with the strength of my forever BEST FRIEND, Jesus Christ.

I think people sometimes confuse external signs of devotion with genuine faith. Only we can truly know if we have been negligent in our relationship with God or not, however, we also need to remember that sometimes the nature of that relationship will change. Sometimes we will be more prayerful, other times less so. What is important is that we do not deceive ourselves about our relationship.

As for running the race alone ... well, I think it is preferable to run with someone, but we must be strong enough to run alone if we have to.

Hi Richard,

Yes, God sees what're inside of us. It's time that I take stock of my life, especially seeing all the natural disasters in the world, killing so many innocent lives. It's time we share with people around about Jesus Christ before they have no chance to hear and accept Him.

Cheers!

Bee
