Psalms 86 - Lend Me Your Ear
1 A prayer by David.
Turn your ear {toward me}, O Lord.
Answer me, because I am oppressed and needy.
2 Protect me, because I am faithful {to you}.
Save your servant who trusts you. You are my God.
3 Have pity on me, O Lord,
because I call out to you all day long.
4 Give me joy, O Lord,
because I lift my soul to you.
ms 86:1-4 (GW)
Reflection of B:
The above prayer is also my prayer to the Lord. For I am greatly stressed by my work. I felt as if I will collapse any time soon due to over working (16 hours a day for 6. 5 days a week) for the past 5 months. I am physically and mentally tired. Yet the organization I am working for doesn't seem to be satisfied. I am thinking of quiting, but need to know when.
I know I must wait for God's timing since He is the One who placed me there and made me so accommodating to my employer, which is a miracle. I shall wait and listen to God's leading.
Dear Lord,
You know how I feel and You know that I may breakdown if not for Your strengthening. But I know I can't take it anymore if my employer continues the way it has been. I pray that if You still want me to work for my employer, they will change their ways and be more supportive to me instead being my 'bottle neck" at work. I shall get my letter ready for submission if nothing has changed by next week. Give me peace, if I am taking the right step in Your will.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
