Psalms 81 - If Only We Listen to Him

13 If only my people would listen to me!
If only Israel would follow me!
14 I would quickly defeat their enemies.
I would turn my power against their foes.

Reflection of B:

The Israelite were stiff-necked and didn't listen to God. God allowed them to listen to their own advice and fell.

Tonight's passage is a reminder that I must constantly seek God's advice rather than take things into my own hand whenever I see things not going the right way for me. God has promised to grant me wisdom to make the right decision.


Dear Lord,
Thank you for this timely reminder that I must listen to You. Teach me to be still before you rather than be too busy finding solutions on my own. Help me, I need You, Lord!
